Support
Sieve classifies incoming Gmail or Outlook mail, with no dashboards to babysit. When something needs a human, this page is how you reach us and what to send so we can help quickly.
How to get help
Email support@getsieve.io. That is the primary channel for questions, problems, and feedback, and it reaches a person. We read every message and reply as soon as we can.
What to include for a fast answer
The more of this you can give us up front, the faster we can help:
- The account email you signed in with.
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
- For a misclassification, roughly which message — the sender and the rough date are usually enough. We never need the message body, and we ask that you do not paste sensitive content.
Common topics
Connecting Gmail or Outlook
Sieve connects to Gmail through Google OAuth and to Outlook through Microsoft OAuth. If the connection failed or you want to reconnect, start again from the dashboard and grant access when your provider prompts you.
What the Solicitor and Malicious labels mean
Solicitor marks cold outreach — recruiters, brokers, vendor pitches, and similar unsolicited mail. Malicious marks phishing, brand impersonation, and payment-fraud attempts. Labeled mail is moved out of your inbox; everything else is left alone.
Correcting a misclassification
If a message was labeled wrong, correct it from the dashboard. Your correction is recorded against that sender so future mail is handled the way you expect.
Pausing or disconnecting
You can pause filtering or disconnect Gmail or Outlook at any time from the dashboard. Pausing stops new mail from being labeled; disconnecting revokes our access to your inbox.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and the data we hold for it from account settings in the dashboard. This revokes mailbox access and removes your stored records.
